Now Hiring: Field Science Interns in Prineville

The Children’s Forest is seeking 3 high school students in Crook County for a new Field Science Internship.  The program will be offered from June-August 2022, with interns completing 100+ hours of paid job training in natural resources in a positive and supportive team setting.  Interns will:

  • Learn about fisheries, hydrology, grazing management, forest management, and watershed restoration
  • Participate in real-world data collection
  • Experience “a walk in the woods” with natural resource specialists from Ochoco National Forest and Deschutes Land Trust
  • Complete a team project related to community outreach
  • Have access to coaching and additional training opportunities that support your goals and development
